Say 'Hello' to The Greenest Trucks on the Road!
As we near the completion of our single stream recycling
processing facility, The American Recycling Center, American is proud to
announce that we’ve added two brand new clean and green, waste and recycling
trucks to our fleet!
Why so clean and green you ask? Because they run on clean,
natural gas!
But the news of these new trucks is even more exciting
because they are the FIRST waste collection vehicles to run on Compressed
Natural Gas (CNG) in the entire Northern Virginia area!
That’s right, American is making history!
We are also proud to do our small part to reduce our nation’s
dependence on foreign oil and support America’s energy independence by choosing
this healthier, sustainable, American resource.
But these two beauties are just the beginning! AmericanDisposal Services has made the decision to replace every diesel powered
collection truck in their fleet with its natural gas counterpart. And we aren’t wasting any time-three more CNG
trucks will be added by the end of the month!
We are dedicated to an entire fleet fueled ONLY on natural
gas. So dedicated in fact, that we promise NO future diesel collection trucks
will be purchased from here on out.
The perks of natural gas go far beyond the environment. Not
only do these clean, green trucks emit significantly less greenhouse gas and
cancer causing emissions than those powered by diesel, they will not release
any dangerous diesel fumes for drivers and members of the community to breathe.
Plus they are quieter running, which is nice (especially in the morning).
American is excited and proud to lead the way on green
